We make sewing fun & easy
All classes are taught by industry professionals with degrees in fashion or related fields, bringing real-world experience into every lesson.
Our sewing classes run in 4-week sessions, with two-hour classes each week.
*New sessions begin monthly! We post new classes a 1-2 weeks before class start week.
Adults start with our Beginner Sewing Class, which includes instruction, machine use, and fabrics. After completing the beginner level, students can move into Next Level/continuing classes, where instruction is tailored to individual interests and skill goals.
Our kids sewing classes are open to both beginners and more experienced sewists. Kids learn the basics, build confidence using sewing machines, and work on fun projects, while returning students take on more advanced skills — all with instruction tailored to each child’s level and interests.

Meet the Founder
Ms Camilla founded the Sewing Lab in 2014 in at her sewing studio in Los Alamitos.
What started as a class with just 3 students has now grown to 2 locations, and over a 100 students a month, learning how to sew.

Sewing is a skill that builds over time. Our class structure is designed to give you a strong foundation and the flexibility to grow in the direction that excites you most. All Classe are taught by industry professionals!
KIDS Sewing Classes
Fun & friendly weekly sewing classes for kids! We welcome kids both new to sewing and kids who have sewn before.
Small group sizes of max 10 kids - we have machines for everyone to use and fabrics are included. Kids ages 8-16 welcome. Now also approved for charter schools (Blue Ridge)

These classes are perfect for you if you have taken our beginner class or maybe you have sewn before but want to learn more and advance your sewing skills.
Pick your project from our library of patterns or bring your own pattern you’d like to work on. We will guide you through your project and learn new skills and techniques as we go.

Turnaround time 1-2 business days (please note we are closed Sundays and Mondays)

Do you have a sewing machine but need help threading it or some basics on how to use it? Set up this 30 min session with us and we can help you! $45 p private 30 min session. If you bought your machine from us this is a free service - ask us about a coupon code for a free session.
